Snowed in at my parents house from Thu 10/12 - Sunday 10/15. No power, no phone, no heat. You couldn't get down the street, everything was closed and without power. This was a crazy freak October Storm
Of course, my parents had no flashlights, no radio, etc. Their basement was flooding as the snow melted on Saturday, and the rain that came after the snow only exacerbated that. I finally dug out with the help of Mark and his dad on Sunday and then everyone in my family arrived for the games and dinner since we had power.
It was one of those freak things. Ironically arriving about Friday the 13th. They just got power this past Friday. We've been on and off, but for the most, off less than a full day. I'm glad that the snow is melted, but the branch piles and debris are awful. Schools will reopen tomorrow after being closed 6 days. Some homes are still without power and some streets are barely passable.
